My Finished Easy Heirloom Knit Blanket

Pattern Used:

Easy Heirloom Knit Blanket by Jessica of Mama In A Stitch.

This is a gorgeous free pattern! There are instructions for both a lapghan size blanket, as well as a throw sized blanket (I made the throw sized).

I normally do not like using the larger weight yarns, however, this blanket might have altered my opinion on the matter! When it comes to making blankets, it usually becomes very time consuming and tedious. I like to have results fast. This blanket was a quick and easy knit. I spent about a month working on it, and most of the time it was over weekends.

Also, I want to add that while I love Jessica’s patterns, I dislike visiting any blog that is loaded down with advertisements as it really slows the page down, and I get frustrated very easily in this regard. So, I did end up purchasing the ad-free version of this pattern to help alleviate my frustrations (which is really fine by me because at the beginning of this year I decided to pay for more patterns to do my role in supporting fellow yarnists!).

Supplies Used:

Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick (almost 12 full skeins)- 6 skeins of Arctic Ice, and just a little over 5 skeins of Fisherman. The Arctic Ice color has less yardage, which is why it took so much more than the Fisherman, even though the Arctic Ice was used less than the Fisherman in the pattern.

Size 10 mm circular knitting needles

Finished Size:

About 50 inches by 59 inches
