This week I’m working on two projects, one is crochet, one is knit. The knit one is a hat. I’m trying to come up with a basic slouchy hat design. It’s being made of Mainstays yarn (still trying to use up leftovers from my stash!), color “Royal Blue”, with both 4.5 mm and 5 mm circulars. I have to admit, I really do like the feel of the Mainstays yarn. It’s much softer than Red Heart Super Saver. Have you tried it? What do you think of it? An added bonus is that it’s a little bit cheaper than Super Saver 🙂
Anyway, here’s my hat so far:
I started with K3, P1 ribbing with the smaller needle, and then changed to the larger needle for the body of the hat, while making some increases so the hat becomes a bit oversized for the slouchy effect. So far I am liking what’s happening with it.
What are you working on today?
